Summer 2019 is in full swing so we'd thought we'd put together a little article looking at where you can enjoy beer on board a boat (hopefully in the sun) around the world.
Returning for a second year in a row now is the London Craft Beer Cruise on the river Thames. Taking place one to two times a month this year with plans to grow even more dates, you'll get the chance to sample a featured local brewery on board this afternoon boat trip. Artisan gins and soft drinks also on board for those non beer drinkers too.
Going strong since 2016 the Bristol Craft Beer Experience on board 'HMS HOPS' sees guests start the day sailing down the Bristol harbourside with local beers on board (currently Bristol Beer Factory).
After a short cruise, guests then head to Moor Brewery for a behind the scenes tour and beer tastings. Then it's a walk through the park, past the old Bristol Brewery/George's/Courage's brewery site down to Beer Emporium. Guests enjoy tastings of cheese and charcuterie with even more beer to finish.
Join a craft beer festival on board one of the largest ships in the Canadian town of Hamilton, Toronto. Takes places annually in July.
Enjoy up to five beers from New York’s premiere & gypsy brewers and NYC’s gorgeous skyline. Clipper City is New York’s largest sailing vessel so you’re in for a great time with Manhattan by Sail on this craft beer cruises taking in the sights.
Our final choice is more of a holiday than a day trip. Avalon Waterways offer tours for beer enthusiasts in a number of European holiday destinations such as Paris, Amsterdam and Budapest.
So if you fancy enjoying some local craft beer around the world this year – perhaps consider an outing on a craft beer cruise on the water.
Treat someone to a tour!
