The meeting place and first venue is Northern Monk Refectory. Northern Monk is one of the biggest names on the Leeds and UK craft beer scene. Situated in the Old Flax Store, here the group will visit the ground floor brewery, learn about how beer is made and sample some delicious drinks that are brewed on-site.

The second stop is The Cross Keys, which dates to 1802. Amongst fantastic architecture and whilst enjoying drinks from the pubs wonderful range of traditional and modern craft brews, the tour guide talks the group through the modern history of craft beer in Britain.

From The Cross Keys, the group then heads to Friends of Ham. Opened in 2012, this has been one of Leeds’ trail-blazing craft beer bars of the last ten years. Here, the tour guide will answer some of the most frequently asked tour questions, such as what the difference between ale and lager is.

The tour then finishes at the Turk’s Head, the craft beer sister bar of 300-year-old Whitelocks. Here the tour guide will talk the group through the final beers of the tour, sourced from across the globe.

During the tour, guests will be given a generous number of different beers to try, varying in styles and strengths and ranging from tasters from sharing bottles to third or half-pint measures. Guests won’t go dry on this expedition of craft beer in Leeds.
